My friends they are so beautiful
And they’re beautifully made,
There’s something about their hearts, you see,
Something our God gave.
In their laughter I see heaven
In their tears another side,
I know my friends, those with whom I pray
Those that for tears of joy I’ve cried.
I seek them in the summer,
And in the winter they’re just there,
I’ve never known them disappear,
Or any limit to their care.
I pray for their protection,
I hunger for their love,
For in this peace, there is so clear
Jesus, here, with us.
